Tark Butler spent his childhood in East Africa, and has lived in East Finchley for the last 37 years. He took up painting quite late in life, and afterwards taught The History of Modern Art - short courses - at Central St Martins. The East African childhood no doubt developed his love of colour. For the last 10 years he has concentrated on the Mediterranean.
